Privacy Policy

This Privacy Policy explains what personal data Hakol Sound ("we", "us") collects through the Hakol Timer website, why, and your rights over it. We are the data controller.

1. What we collect

When you register to download the App, we collect:

• First and last name
• Company / organisation name
• Email address
• Your password — stored and secured by Google Firebase Authentication; we never see or store it ourselves
• Whether you opted in to our newsletter
• The fact and time you accepted these terms
• Your approximate country, derived from your IP address at sign-up (we store the country name, not your IP address)

Each account receives a free license key that activates the App on up to five computers. When you activate the App on a computer, it sends us your license key, that computer's name, its operating system and the App version, and updates a "last used" time — so you (and we) can see and manage which devices are active. The App does not send us your usage, timers, or event content, and it checks GitHub for software updates (that request is handled by GitHub).

2. Why we use it

• To create and secure your download account.
• To send you the newsletter and product updates — only if you opted in.
• To understand how many people use the App and to contact you about important changes.

Our legal basis is your consent (which you give at registration and can withdraw) and our legitimate interest in operating and improving a free product.

3. Cookies & local storage

We do not use advertising or tracking cookies, and we do not run third-party analytics or marketing pixels on this site. The site uses your browser's local storage only for essential, functional purposes: keeping you signed in, remembering your accessibility preferences, and briefly caching the latest download links. This data stays in your browser and is not shared.

4. Who processes it

We use Google Firebase (Authentication and Firestore) to store your registration securely. Firebase is operated by Google; data may be processed on Google's infrastructure. We do not sell your personal data to anyone.

5. How long we keep it

We keep your registration for as long as your account exists or until you ask us to delete it. Newsletter records are kept until you unsubscribe.

6. Your rights

You can ask us to access, correct, or delete your data, or to stop emailing you, at any time. Every newsletter also includes an unsubscribe link. To exercise any right, email omz@hakolsound.co.il and we will respond within a reasonable time.

7. Security

Access to your data is restricted so that only you (when signed in) and we can reach your own record. Passwords are managed by Firebase Authentication using industry-standard hashing.

8. Children

The Site is not directed at children under 16, and we do not knowingly collect their data.

9. Changes

We may update this policy; the "last updated" date above will change accordingly.
