Your Stream Deck, ready on install

Hakol Timer installs its own Bitfocus Companion module. These are its buttons, exactly as they appear on the deck.

  • Stock buttons for GO, pause, reset, jog and set-time
  • Live hours, minutes and seconds on the keys
  • Key colours follow the colours and timing you set in the app
  • Reconnects by itself when the app restarts, and shows yellow while it waits

Your colours, your timing

The timer turns to a warning colour, then danger, as time runs low, and keeps counting after zero. Choose the colours and when they change: a fixed time before the end, or a share of the timer. Your Stream Deck keys change with it.

Message to stage

Type “wrap up” or “go to Q&A” and it appears on the speaker’s screen in one of six colours, over the timer, the clock or a black screen. Steady or flashing, cleared in one tap.

Run of show

Build the show as a list of cues with titles, durations and start times, and step through with next, previous or GO. Played cues stay, grey out or leave the list. Save it to a plain text file and load it back.

Precise control

Nine one-tap presets, live ±1 and ±5 minute adjust, count-up mode, and a queued next duration. Keyboard shortcuts for all of it, and OSC as well.

As big as you need it

The full control window, a mid view, or a compact strip with just the time, start and ±1 minute. Pin it to stay on top of your slides or show software.

The right screen, every time

Every connected screen, numbered and drawn where it sits. Send the output to one of them, full screen, and next time it opens right there again.

Sound and clock

An end sound and warning beep on the audio output you pick. A full-screen clock, or the time of day in small type under the timer.

Logo screen

One tap fills the screen with your logo between sessions, or ours if you haven’t added one. Your logo can also sit in a corner of the timer.

Each output, its own look

Choose what the stage screen, NDI and the web viewer each show. Send a clean NDI feed to the video team while the presenter still sees your messages.

Hakol Timer is a free stage timer for conference and live-event operators. It runs on Mac and Windows, with NDI, OSC and Bitfocus Companion built in.

Is Hakol Timer really free?

Yes. There is no trial period, no watermark and no feature paywall. You create a free account, and the license it issues activates the app on up to five computers.

Does it work with Bitfocus Companion and a Stream Deck?

Yes. Hakol Timer ships a ready-made Companion module and installs it for you, so there are no config files to copy. You get stock buttons for GO, pause, reset and set-time, live variables for the time and state, and key colours that follow the colours set in the app. The connection comes back by itself whenever Hakol Timer restarts. It needs Bitfocus Companion 4.2 or later; restart Companion once after installing so it picks up the module.

Can I send the countdown timer over NDI?

Yes. The timer is published as an NDI source that Resolume Arena, vMix, OBS and any other NDI-ready system on the network can pick up. Resolution and frame rate are configurable, and an optional alpha channel lets you key it over your own content.

How do I show the timer on a confidence monitor?

Hakol Timer runs a small web server on your machine. Open its address in a browser on any phone, tablet, laptop or smart display on the same network and the live timer appears, with nothing to install on that device.

Can I control Hakol Timer over OSC?

Yes. It listens for OSC on UDP port 7000 by default and can send state feedback back to your controller, so it drops into QLab, Companion and other show-control systems.

Can I keep the controls small and on top?

Yes. The buttons in the title bar switch the control window between Full, Mid and Compact. Compact is a small strip with the time, start, reset and ±1 minute. The pin keeps the window above your slides or show software.

Can I choose which screen the output goes to?

Yes. The button next to Output shows every connected screen, numbered and placed the way they are arranged. Pick one and the timer goes there in full screen. Next time the output opens on the same screen, in the same place.

Which operating systems are supported?
